If God were like Santa, I'd love Him less...

He is more amazing than what He can do for us.

"In Jesus' name" is not abracadabra.

Anything less than Him is an idol. Even our salvation is the means to access to Him.

If the doctors are correct, this may be my very last Christmas letter. If I have one last thing on which to testify to my gorgeous wife, beautiful children, my family and friends with my these keystrokes, let it be this:

God Himself is our greatest prize. He only can be reached by grace through faith in the death and resurrection of His only Son, Jesus Christ.

Anything else in our lives is vain in comparison to eternity.
